12th ICTPI: Science Technology and Knowledge Networks – Long-term growth strategies to face the financial crisis

The 12^th International Conference on Technology Policy and Innovation (ICTPI) will be held in Porto, on 13 and 14 July 2009. The theme and motto of the 12^th ICTPI Conference is Science, Technology and Knowledge Networks – long-term growth strategies to face the financial crisis. The aim with this conference is to provide a challenging environment that will promote the development of strategic answers for the economic crisis. During the conference, it will be possible to discuss long-term concerns, involving research and development, higher-education and science-based innovation.

The mission of the International Conference on Technology Policy and Innovation (ICTPI) series is to gather worldwide leading representatives from the academic, business and government environments, as well as from other relevant sectors. There, it will be possible for them to discuss and assess current and future issues of critical importance regarding the use of science and technology to foster a shared social and economic prosperity, not only at home, but also abroad.

This series was launched in Macao, China, in 1997.
