INESC PORTO is accepting applications to award 2 Scientific Research grants for MSC holders, within the project "Control and operation of multi-terminal HVDC links in off-shore wind parks", to work in the following area: Power Systems, Power Electronics. We are looking for candidates holding a Master in electric engineering or industrial electronics - specialization in power systems or automation and control. Candidates must have experience in dynamic simulation of electric power systems and power electronic converters, and experience in integration of distributed generation in electrical power systems Preference factors:Immediate availability. Good English and Portuguese skills, both written and spoken. Experience in the development and test of power electronic.converters prototypes. Experience in Matlab/Simulink.
Call for a Postdoctoral grant within the Project "Smartgrids"
INESC PORTO is accepting applications to award 1 Postdoctoral grant, within the Project: Smartgrids (NORTE-01-0124-FEDER-000056), in the following work area: Data Mining/ Data Stream Analysis. we are looking for candidates holding a PhD in Computer Science/Informatics. candidates must have solid knowledge in programming using Java or C, C++. Knowledge of data mining techniques and algorithms, knowledge of data stream analysis, and experience in the area of ubiquitous data-mining. Preference factors: Experience with Massive Onlline Analysis (MOA), and publications in the area of Data Mining / Data Streams Analysis.
