Up one levele-ASLA: e-Administration for Small Local Authorities
This project aims to reduce the cost of governing municipalities by introducing innovative software solutions based on free software. The e-ASLA project brings together a group of Portuguese, Spanish and French municipalities.

Collaborative platform “Northern Network”
INESC Porto has been working together with the North Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR-N) to develop a Collaborative Platform the “Northern Network”. This Platform will play an important role for the CCDR-N; it will collaborate with the main regional players in management support, knowledge dissemination and strategic information to support planning, programming and the administration and evaluation of initiatives for regional development.
Transational Programme: the Atlantic Area
The North Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR-N) was elected as the Managing Authority of the “Atlantic Area” European Territorial Cooperation Programme. Therefore, as the managing authority, the city of Porto will host the Joint Technical Secretariat. This programme will run between 2007 and 2013 and will cover 36 Regions (NUTS II) with Atlantic coasts in Portugal, Spain, France, the United Kingdom and Ireland. The programme follows on from the Interreg IIIB Atlantic Area programme.
