INESC TEC consolidates partnership with Vodafone Portugal
The Telecommunications and Multimedia Unit (UTM) at INESC TEC was invited by Vodafone Portugal to participate in an event, the Wi-Fi Day@VFPT, which took place in 5 and 6 June in Lisbon.
Since October 2011 UTM has been working with Vodafone Portugal on various Research and Development projects (R&D) within the Wi-Fi networks area. This invitation came as a result of the interest Vodafone has been showing for INESC TEC’s work and projects.
Some of the largest manufacturers of networking equipment in the world attended this meeting. At the event, UTM presented and demonstrated Wi-Fi solutions which have been developed in partnership with this company. The event was an opportunity to consolidate the partnership and to discuss new developments in the context of the Wi-Fi solutions presented.
